It’s that time of year again! The holidays are rapidly approaching and 2013 will be over before we know it. We would like to thank you for your continued support and readership of this newsletter, and I think we still have time for one last promotion. Before we get to that, here are some of the major highlights of 2013 for Allele.
mNeonGreen – We released mNeonGreen, the brightest monomeric fluorescent protein available on the market. The response has been phenomenal and we know the future for this protein is very bright.
mMaple and Superresloution Imaging – We also released our latest photoconvertible fluorescent protein, mMaple, and launched a superresolution imaging portal to support this emerging technique. We believe superresolution imaging is primed to overtake conventional microscopy in the near future.
Genome Editing – We forayed into the burgeoning field of genome editing by offering our FastTALE TALEN kits and preparing for a highly advanced CRISPR/cas system
Advancements in iPSC generation – We have made improvements to our existing iPSC generation techniques and will soon be offering cGMP grade iPSC services.
nAb™ – Lastly, in October we upgraded our single domain VHH nano antibodies, or as we like to call them, nAbs. The first two nAbs we released were GFP-nAb™ and mNeonGreen-nAb™. So far the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and we are very excited about the future of this product line.
We accomplished a lot in 2013 but we intend to do even more in 2014. At Allele we strive to provide you with the best products, allowing you to harness the latest advancements in your areas of study. Next year we will introduce more nAb™ targets, expand our iPSC line to encompass differentiation, offer additional genome editing solutions, and more tools for superresolution imaging. While doing all of this, we’ll still find the time to come up with new and exciting promotions, along with the ones you already love.
